Biwater AEWT deliver new nano-filtration
system to the Mesa Consolidated Water
District, Orange County, California.

Biwater AEWT, Inc was selected by Brutoco Engineering & Construction, Inc (Contractor) and Mesa Consolidated Water District of Costa Mesa, California (Owner) to design and supply the Nano-Filtration (NF) membrane system for the Colored Water Treatment Facility - Technology Replacement and Expansion Project in Costa Mesa. The water source is taken from the Orange County’s groundwater basin. According to the Owner, this coloured water is of high quality and safe to drink except it contains high colour resulting from the buried ancient redwood forests that used to grow in the area. This treatment facility is primarily designed to remove colour in the ground water source prior to potable distribution.

Biwater commissions first of five RO
Desalination Plants for the Government
of the Maldives

On behalf of the Government of The Maldives, Biwater International Ltd. have commissioned, through their subsidiary Biwater AEWT Inc, the first of five RO desalination plants, in time for the SAARC Conference on the 10th of November 2011, attended by the seven area Heads of State (Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar and Bhutan), in Hithhadhoo, Southern Maldives.

Omdurman Water Treatment Plant, Sudan

Biwater has successfully completed on time the largest water treatment plant in Sudan. The project which cost €88m comprises a water treatment plant, transmission mains and storage reservoir in Omdurman, adjacent to the River Nile. The plant was handed over in May, 2010 and serves a population of two million people. In addition, we have commenced a 10 year contract to operate and maintain the plant. A world class project!
