Omar Mukhtar Waste Water Treatment Plant
The contract for nine wastewater treatment plants in the Green Mountain Region comprises the design and construction and two years operation and maintenance of new compact wastewater treatment plants serving populations of 5,000 to 15,000.

These plants are based on the biCOM range, developed by Biwater International. The construction will be completed in 24 months followed by a two year operation and maintenance phase.

Zawiyat (2,100 PE), Mansoura (3,400 PE)
Aslanta (4.300 PE), Al Haniyah (4,750 PE)
Gandoula (9,000 PE), Marawa (7,300 PE)
Sousa (11,400 PE), Wardama (14,500 PE) and Omar Al Mukhtar (10,500 PE)
Funding is allocated from the National Planning Committee of Libya. The project represents some of the first contracts to be let in the wastewater sector under the new National Infrastructure Development Programme.
