BIWATER MAN LEE AWARDED m & E CONTRACT for mui wo sewage treatment works extension project in hong kong

Biwater Man Lee has been awarded the M&E contract for the Mui Wo Sewage Treatment Works Extension Project in Hong Kong. The Contract Sum is valued at HK$167 million (i.e. approx.GBP 13.7m).
The scope of works is to upgrade the existing treatment plant from 1,190m3/day to 7,400m3/day using an MBR solution.
The main elements of this are the design, supply, delivery to site, installation, testing and commissioning of the:
Inlet Influent Pumping & Screening System
Grit Removal System
Membrane Bio-reactor System
Sludge Thickening System
Aerobic Sludge Digestion System
Sludge Dewatering System
Deodourising System
Power Supply, Control and Ancillary Facilities
Wind/ Solar Powered Hybrid Street Light
SCADA System
CCTV System
The Main Contractor is CEC (Continental Engineering Corporation). The contract was awarded against strong competition.
