


Biwater set to conclude £100 million investment
Surrey, UK – 19th February 2025: Biwater is concluding an investment of over £100 million from a global investor aimed at working with governments and their water and agriculture ministries worldwide. This investment will enhance Biwater’s current contracts, boost treated water supplies and further support humanitarian development throughout the world.
This significant financial milestone, set to complete in February 2025, marks an important step in propelling Biwater’s ambitious growth strategy and its commitment to addressing the increasing global demand for water treatment solutions which is rising by 15% annually, with a global increase for job creation within the business portfolio.
The investment will facilitate Biwater’s expanding US$ 2 billion order book, enabling the delivery of large-scale water and membrane treatment, port discharge and storage solutions across Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific, expanding the company’s vision of working with joint venture global partners for the fresh water supply. It will also provide capital for a full recapitalisation of the company, ensuring resolution for all creditors, including the settlement of the Company’s pension obligations.
